He married Josephine Lillian Giddy on 22 Oct 1941 at St Thomas Church, Rondebosch, Cape Town, Cape, South Africa. Josephine Lillian was the daughter of Arthur William Giddy and Lillian Foster. She was born on 11 Jun 1912. She died on 1 Nov 1981 at 2 Pinewood Park, Bergvliet, Cape Town, Cape, South Africa at the age of 69.
