George Christopher Henderson was born on 29 Oct 1861.
He was the son of Joseph Henderson and Jane Maidstone Pearson.

He married Janet Smart in Sep 1886 at Toxteth Park, Lancashire, England. She died on 16 Jan 1895 at Addington Hospital, Durban, Colony of Natal.
