He married Jessie Ross Munro. Jessie Ross was the daughter of Alexander Munro and Margaret MacDonald. She was born on 10 Oct 1869 at Urquhart, Inverness, Scotland. She died on 16 Jan 1890 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland at the age of 20.
