He married Christina Munro on 9 Dec 1854 at Kilmuir-Easter, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland. Christina was the daughter of John Munro and Janet Ross. She was born on 22 Jul 1832 at Kilmuir-Easter, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland. She died on 19 May 1902 at Tullich, Kilmuir-Easter, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland at the age of 69.
