She was the daughter of Isaac Jinks.

She married Zachariah North Hughes on 17 Oct 1864 at St Andrew, Holborn, Middlesex, England. Zachariah North was the son of Thomas Hughes and Elizabeth. He was born on 19 Jul 1837 at Surrey, England. He died on 13 Jun 1907 at Blean, Kent, England at the age of 69.

They had 3 children: Ernest North Hughes, Kate Hughes and Annie Hughes.
