He married Johanna Berendina Wilhelmina Te Roller on 8 Jul 1935 at Vlissingen, Zeeland, Nederland. She was born on 5 Aug 1911 at Winterswijk, Gelderland, Netherland. She died on 15 Dec 2003 at Benoni, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 92.
