Elizabeth Wilkinson was born on 8 Aug 1827 at Chinsurrah, Bengal Presidency, India.

She was the daughter of Mark Wilkinson and Elizabeth Dawcett.

She married William Ridley on 5 Oct 1842 at Meerut, Bengal, India. He died on 5 Jan 1881 at Mill View Farm, Richmond Pietermaritzburg Natal.

They had one child: Ardina Jane Ridley.

She married John Elsterwood.

She died on 15 Dec 1894 at 413 Prince Alfred Street, Pietermaritzburg, Colony of Natal, Southern Africa at the age of 67.
