He married Winifred May Brookshaw on 26 May 1902 at Grahamstown, Albany, Cape Colony. Winifred May was the daughter of Thomas Brookshaw and Esther Elizabeth Openshaw. She was born about 1872. She died on 6 Apr 1942 at 7 Webber Street, Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa.

They had one child: Charles William Fleming.

He married Rhoda Miriam Boulton Brookshaw. Rhoda Miriam Boulton was the daughter of Thomas Brookshaw and Esther Elizabeth Openshaw. She died about 1899.

He died on 20 Jan 1922 at Walmer, Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa.
