He married Mary Dearlove on 15 Jan 1925 at Boksburg, Boksburg, Transvaal, South Africa. Mary was the daughter of Joseph Avery Dearlove and Mary Low. She was born on 28 Mar 1866 at Pietermaritzburg, Colony of Natal. She died on 18 Jun 1931 at 21 Commissioner Street, Boksburg, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 65.
