Ellen Hall Pearse was born about Dec 1852 at Swansea, Wales.

She was the daughter of Ebenezer Pearse and Sarah Ormerod.

She married Henry Maxwell Cameron on 28 May 1879 at Pietermaritzburg, Colony of Natal. Henry Maxwell was the son of James Cameron and Margaret Allison. He was born about 1851. He died on 31 Mar 1888 at Wesleyan Pastory, Harrismith, Orange Free State, Southern Africa..

They had 5 children: Maxwell Cameron, Sedgwick Cameron, James Allison Cameron, Nellie Crawford Cameron and Marian Pearse Cameron.

She died on 21 Apr 1931 at Berg Street, Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa.
