Biography

He married Helen Hodgson on 3 Jan 1863 at Pietermaritzburg, Colony of Natal (in house of William Hodgson). Helen was the daughter of James Hodgson and Sally\Sarah Gill. She was born on 21 Jul 1836 at Mount Zion General Baptist, Hepstonall Slack, York, England. She died on 20 Jun 1917 at Schoeman Street, Pietersburg, Transvaal, South Africa at the age of 80.
