She married Alister Duncan Beggs on 9 Sep 1942 at Bellair Methodist Church, Durban, Natal, South Africa. Alister Duncan was the son of Robert Beggs and Georgina Gladstone Duncan. He was born on 21 Feb 1918.

They had 2 children: Gladstone D Beggs and Iona M Beggs.
