Herbert Fredrich Kaiser was born on 27 Dec 1928 at Port Shepstone, Natal, South Africa.

He was the son of Freidrich August Otto Kaiser and Ella Anna Johanna Hohls.

He married Myrtle Sim on 2 Apr 1955 at Pinetown, Natal, South Africa. Myrtle was the daughter of George Stewart Sim and Muriel (Baby) Knowles. She was born on 11 Mar 1926. She died on 30 Oct 2008 at Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa at the age of 82.

They had 3 children: Living, Living and Living.

He died on 8 Apr 2010 at Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa at the age of 81.
