He married Barbara Munro. Barbara was the daughter of George Munro and Julia Anna Schriek. She was born on 23 May 1865 at Coalhill, Allora, Queensland, Australia. She died on 30 Nov 1945 at Laidley, Lockyer Valley Region, Queensland, Australia at the age of 80.
