He married Bessie Munro in 1901. Bessie was the daughter of George Munro and Julia Anna Schriek. She was born on 24 Sep 1880 at Coalhill, Allora, Queensland, Australia. She died on 26 Oct 1945 at Warwick, Queensland, Australia at the age of 65.
