She was the daughter of John Furby and Mary Woodcock.

She married Richard Jordan Knowles on 2 Feb 1840 at Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire (East Riding), England. Richard Jordan was the son of Gabriel Knowles and Sarah Vazey. He was born at Bridlington, Yorkshire (East Riding), England. He died on 30 Mar 1903 at 63 Quay Road, Bridlington, Yorkshire, England.

They had 2 children: McGregor Knowles and Helen Knowles.
