Mary Miller Robertson was born on 19 Jul 1868 at Middle OR New Parish, Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland.

She married William Hagens on 24 Apr 1889 at West Greenock, Scotland. He was born in May 1864 at Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland. He died on 14 Oct 1949 at 25 Cowey Road, Durban, Natal, South Africa.

They had 8 children: Christina Walker Ferguson Hagens, William Hagens, John Robertson Hagens, Mary Ferguson Hagens, Alexander Hagens, Margaret (Sissy) Hagens, Natalie Hagens and Georgina Foot Hagens.

She died on 26 Sep 1955 at the age of 87.
