He was born on 24 Nov 1918 at Sepani, Thaba Nchu, Oronge Free State, South Africa. He died on 28 Sep 1991 at Bloemfontein, Orange Free State, South Africa at the age of 72.

They had 2 children: Cyril Hugh Cameron and Living.
