Sarah Johanna Siebert DeJager was born on 24 Apr 1909.

She married Robert Arthur Raine on 12 Nov 1938 at Vrede, Orange Free State, South Africa. Robert Arthur was the son of Arthur Benjamin Swift and Gertrude Sybil Newsum. He was born on 11 Jan 1912 at Rotherham, Yorkshire (West Riding), England. He died on 19 Apr 1972 at Port Elizabeth, Cape, South Africa at the age of 60.

They had 6 children: Gertrude Sybil Raine, Winifred Jeanne Raine, Living, Living, Living and Living.

She died on 20 May 1986 at Port Elizabeth, Cape, South Africa at the age of 77.
