He married Maud Diack in 1947 at Windhoek, Namibia. Maud was the daughter of David Alfred Diack and Isabella Maude Holt. She was born on 7 Mar 1927 at Kemnay, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She died in 2006 at Germiston, Gauteng, South Africa.
They had one child: Living.
He married Martha Marguarite Harbor on 6 May 1957.
He married Molly Smith.
