He married Lucy Emma Thring. Lucy Emma was the daughter of Samuel Thring and Elizabeth Treleaven. She was born on 14 May 1840 at Marylebone, London, England. She died on 19 Jun 1896 at At Sea, RMS Drummond Castle, Ushant France at the age of 56.
