He married Justine Annice Leroni-Stoten on 27 Dec 1952 at Pinetown, Natal, South Africa. Justine Annice was the daughter of Horace Thomas Leroni-Stoten and Magdalena Robina Harker. She was born on 3 Jun 1931 at Rossburgh, Natal, South Africa. She died on 18 Apr 2017 at the age of 85.
