Christina Johanna Hough was born on 6 Oct 1824.

She was the daughter of Gysbert Johannes Hough and Anna Elizabeth de Weege.

She married Leendert Hendriek du Plooy on 15 Jun 1840 at Colesberg, South Africa. Leendert Hendriek was the son of Leendert Johannes Louw and Anna Sophia Campher. He died on 23 Sep 1862 at Leuw Kop, Bloemfontein, Orange Free State.

They had 7 children: Gÿsbert Johannis Düplooÿ, Anna Elisabet Christiena du Plooy, Christina Johanna du Plooy, Andries Laurens du Plooÿ, Gerhardus Andries du Plooy, Abram Johannes du Plooy and Rephadus Stephanus du Plooy.
