Biography

Jane Thring was born on 11 Sep 1847.

She was the daughter of Samuel Thring and Elizabeth Treleaven.

She immigrated from Sovereign from London and Plymouth on 24 Mar 1850.

She married James Waugh on 7 May 1866 at Hermansburg, Greytown, Natal, South Africa. He died on 11 May 1912 at Berea Nursing Home, Durban, Natal, South Africa.

They had 9 children: Edwin James Waugh, William Henry Waugh, Arthur Frederick Waugh, Annie Louisa Waugh, Agnes Gertrude Waugh, Catherine Jane Waugh, Laura Beatrice Waugh, Victor Samuel Waugh and Maud Henrietta Waugh.

She died on 19 Aug 1943 at Tongaat, Inanda, Natal, South Africa at the age of 95.
