Biography

Leonard French Drake was born in 1848.

He was the son of Spencer French Drake and Mary Elizabeth Sanders.

He married Elizabeth Davidson on 3 Jan 1878 at St John's Church, Pinetown, Natal, South Africa. Elizabeth was the daughter of Peter Patrick Johnstone Davidson and Catherine Margaret Lange.

They had 6 children: Spencer French Drake, Leonard Frederick Drake, Elizabeth Annie Drake, Peter Sydney Drake, Florence Maud Drake and Hilda Jane Drake.

His occupation was Store keeper in Lindley, Bethlehem, Orange Free State (1886).

He died on 6 Aug 1924.

He was buried in 1924 at Main Cemetery, Vrede, Orange Free State, South Africa.
