Cynthia Mary Low was born on 9 Feb 1923 at Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

She was the daughter of William Cruickshank Low and Williamina Mary (Minnie) Diack.

She immigrated from London to Cape Town on 7 Aug 1924 aboard Beltana.

She married Edward (Ted) Beacham on 19 Feb 1944 at Durban, Natal, South Africa. Edward (Ted) was the son of Edward Norman Beecham and Edith Mary Ann Churchill. He was born on 17 Mar 1922 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. He died on 21 Dec 1995 at 23 El Toro Street, Sedgefield, Mossell Bay, Cape, South Africa at the age of 73.

They had 2 children: Living and Living.

She immigrated from South Africa to 286 Highbury Grove, Cosham, Portsmouth on 6 Aug 1946 aboard Arundel Castle.

She immigrated from Southampton to Durban, South Africa on Warwick Castle on 28 Aug 1947.
