George "(Jurriaan)" Schwellengrebel was born in 1621 at Stettin, Duchy of Pomerania, Germany.

He was the son of Erdmann Swellengrebel and Regina Neveling.

He married Vrouwtje Dolingh in 1652 at Amsterdam, Netherlands. She was born in 1634 at Amsterdam, Netherlands. She died on 26 Feb 1667 at Amsterdam, Westerkerk.

They had 4 children: Anna Schwellengrebel, Regina Schwellengrebel, Clara Schwellengrebel and Regina Schwellengrebel.
