He married Doreen Stanley Foster. Doreen Stanley was the daughter of George Charles Stanley Foster and Wilhelmina Elizabeth Glaeser. She was born on 10 Apr 1900 at Cape Town, South Africa. She died on 17 May 1945 at Bulawayo, Rhodesia at the age of 45.
