Lawrence Bertram Bartle was born on 10 Feb 1935.

He married Norma Jean Kirkland on 28 May 1966. Norma Jean was the daughter of Sydney Kirkland and Margaret Selina (Peggy) Dryden. She was born on 23 Aug 1940. She died on 3 Jun 1991 at the age of 50.

They had 2 children: Living and Living.

He died on 16 Jul 2022 at the age of 87.
