She married Ian James Mitchell. Ian James was the son of John Souter Mitchell and Lilian Margaret Diack. He was born on 16 Jul 1926 at Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He died on 4 May 1993 at Cobb, Georgia, U.S.A. at the age of 66.

They had 2 children: Living and Living.
