He married Mary Jane Wyness. Mary Jane was the daughter of William Watson Wyness and Mary Donald. She was born on 27 Jan 1862 at Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She died on 26 Nov 1953 at Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland at the age of 91.
