She married William Watson Wyness on 21 Apr 1859 at Keithhall & Kinkell, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. William Watson was the son of Alexander Wyness and Helen Jackson. He died on 12 Aug 1894.

They had 4 children: Mary Jane Wyness, Helen Wyness, Annie Wyness and Margaret Wyness.

She died on 27 Sep 1918 at Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland at the age of 84.
