He married Maureen Lucy Munro on 4 Jun 1955 at St John's Church, Pinetown, Natal, South Africa. Maureen Lucy was the daughter of George Ross Munro and Ethel Constance Forrest. She was born on 23 Aug 1927. She died on 17 Sep 2012 at United Kingdom at the age of 85.
